Article 53. Inviolability of private life, personal and family secrets of the Code on Marriage (Matrimony) and Family of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Private life, personal and family secrets are protected by law.
2. Employees and employees who carry out state registration of acts of civil status, as well as other persons who are otherwise aware of private life, are obliged to keep personal and family secrets.
3. Disclosure of information about the personal and family life of citizens entails liability established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
4. Employees of the registering authority, employees of foreign institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan are not entitled, without the consent of the adoptive parent, to provide any information about the adoption and to issue documents containing information that the adoptive parents are not the parents of the adopted child.
Information about the adopted child is provided at the request of state bodies within their competence, established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
